I know what it takes to commit to getting raw milk for your family—especially when life is busy.

It’s not always convenient, but you do it because you care deeply about what goes into your kids’ bodies.

You’re not just buying milk—you’re choosing real nourishment, from a source you can trust. And I want you to know, I see and appreciate the effort you make.

With spring break around the corner, many families are traveling—and I’ve had a few of you ask, “What should I do with my milk if we’re going to be gone?”

Since our farm depends on consistent weekly orders to care for our cows and serve all families well, we ask that you stick to your regular order, even while you're away.

But don’t worry—I’ve got your back.

Below are some simple, delicious ways to use up extra milk before you go so none of it goes to waste.

Easy Ways to Use Up Extra Milk

1. Freeze It
Raw milk freezes well! Pour a little off the top for expansion, then freeze in jars.

Tip: You can also freeze milk in ice cube trays—perfect for popping into smoothies when you get home!

2. Make Yogurt
A great way to preserve milk and add gut-friendly probiotics to your fridge. Homemade yogurt lasts longer and is super versatile.

3. Bake & Freeze
Use extra milk in muffins, pancakes, or breads. They freeze beautifully and make for easy snacks and breakfasts later.

4. Chocolate Raw Milk (Kid Favorite!)

  • 2 cups raw whole milk
  • 1 tbsp raw organic cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions:
Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth.  Enjoy!

5. Make Pudding
A quick and easy way to use 2–3 cups of milk—and the kids will love it!

Simple Chocolate Pudding Recipe
Ingredients:

  • 2 ¾ cups raw milk
  • ½ cup maple syrup or sugar
  • ⅓ cup cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. Add in the milk and maple syrup. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Heat over medium, stirring constantly until thickened (5–10 mins).
  4. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla. Let cool slightly, then chill in fridge.

A little prep before your trip will help you get the most out of your milk—and avoid waste—while still supporting the rhythm of the farm.

Does it ever seem impossible to chase after your kids AND get real food on the table? I have to admit, I'm feeling it hard these last few weeks. Basketball keeps us running 4-5 nights a week. We love watching them play but it also makes for very busy weeknights. Even though we're busy, I'm not willing to sacrifice feeding them real, wholesome food. Instead, I plan meals that are easy and practical for our busy schedule.

Sick Kids? Try This Tasty, Easy Way to Boost Healthy Gut Bacteria

When I was a kid, I was on antibiotics constantly for strep throat or ear infections. Then as a teen/young adult I took antibiotics daily for years to treat acne. Certainly not something I'm proud of and definitely not something I'll be doing with my kids, but that's my reality and it's been a big part of my healing journey. Now that I see health in a different light, navigating the crunchy mom arena can sometimes be hard. I understand we get sick and antibiotics are sometimes necessary. So what would I do if my family needed antibiotics?

How To Make Homemade Salted Caramel Coffee Creamer

We did it... we survived the holidays! 🥳 I love Christmas, but let's be honest, it can be little stressful, too. All the shopping, present wrapping, cooking, special Christmas morning breakfasts, extra laundry, fighting kids, cookie baking, cleaning, stomach flu 🤢, traveling, and late nights. It's a lot.
